Bicycle Donation
On 08/04/2010, Sgt Tracey Schofield with the Police and Kids Foundation donated a bicycle to Darryl Gayner, who is a young man who decided to turn his life around after he committed a juvenile crime. Darryl Gayner attends Gateway Christian Center and participates in car washes to earn money for the youth group, helps with the food bank, and delivers furniture to needy families. The bicycle was presented by Chief Dorene Thomas and Sgt. Tracey Schofield. Tracey Schofield reminded Darryl it was now his turn to pay it forward. Sgt. Schofield is the Chairman of the Police and Kids Foundation. This foundation helps juveniles in the community. Although Darryl is a resident of St. Petersburg, the Pinellas Park Police Department took the initiative.
