The Fishing Trip Event was a joint sponsored event by the
Police & Kids Foundation,
4 Kids Charities,
Madeira Beach Elks Lodge, and
Target. Target was a tremendous help as they supplied all of the food for the event as well as a large amount of fishing supplies. There were approximately 50 children from the
Pinellas Park area including children from the
Pinellas Park Boys & Girls Club and some special needs children. All of the children had a great time with many of them fishing for the first times in their lives, let alone catching a fish. Besides the fishing, some of the children enjoyed painting, face painting, and the company of Scooby Doo, Sponge Bob, Chilly the Penquin, Elmo and the Ghost Busters. More photos are in the
